The United States condemns Pakistan’s release of the killer of American journalist Daniel Pearl

 

The White House expressed its great anger today, Thursday, over the Supreme Court’s decision in Pakistan to release a militant who was convicted of beheading American journalist Daniel Pearl. A three-judge panel had issued a verdict acquitting Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, the main suspect in the kidnapping and killing of Pearl, a journalist for the Wall Street Journal. Journal 2002.
